Have you ever imagined how incredible it would be to fly a plane? Freedom’s Wings International can make that dream come true! It’s a non-profit organization that provides the opportunity for people with disabilities to fly in specially adapted sailplanes. This is just so cool! Not to be missed if you or someone you know is looking for an end-of-the-summer adventure.
On Saturday, October 13th, and Sunday, October 14th, Freedom’s Wings will offer
introductory rides to individuals with disabilities. (Rain dates are October 20-21). The event will be hosted by the Adirondack Soaring Club at Saratoga County Airport in Ballston Spa, New York (www.adirondacksoaring.com). And, there will be a cookout Saturday afternoon for all participants and their families.
If you’re interested, call 1-800-382-1197 to reserve a time slot for a 20-minute ride. The number of flights is limited so call now if you want to experience the thrill of soaring flight.
